In 1857, Harriet Tubman had a vision of freedom for all of America’s slaves. But she didn’t just sit around and dream, she lept into action. When the American civil war began in 1860, Harriet did whatever was needed, eventually becoming an army scout, despite the risks to her life. Serving with incredible courage, Tubman helped save thousands of lives and lived to see her vision become a reality.
